Evans

Evans has been a model of consistency throughout his 10-year NFL career, with at least 67 receptions for at least 1,000 receiving yards in each season. His 94 career receiving touchdowns rank 13th all-time, and he should rank within the top 10 by the end of the 2024 season.

The Buccaneers have a new offensive coordinator in Liam Coen. Since 2018, Coen has either been a coach for the Los Angeles Rams or the Kentucky Wildcats. The Rams typically used a lot of three-wide receiver sets and targeted the wide receivers a lot but had no problem also running the ball. It will be interesting to see how the offense adjusts to Evans or how Evans adjusts to the offense. Since 2018, the Rams haven’t had a true wide receiver standing at 6-foot-4 or taller. Josh Reynolds, Ben Skowronek and Allen Robinson II are all 6-foot-3, but each had a target rate of 15.2% or worse. Coen's tallest receiver at Kentucky in 2023 was the 6-foot-3 Dane Key, who had the lowest target rate of the top three receivers. Godwin more clearly matches what has worked in Coen’s past offenses.

Evans is a top-10 wide receiver most seasons because he scores a lot of touchdowns and consistently gains 1,000 yards. Potential deep touchdown regression, his age and Coen’s offense are all risks, but his ADP has only fallen to WR13 because the floor remains high.
