Addison

He played decently well during his rookie season. He ran a lot of routes and was average on a per-play basis, leading to a few big games but also several quiet outings. He finished with less than 30 yards in five games, including three late in the season. He also had two games with over 100 yards and two touchdowns each.

Addison is the clear No. 2 receiver behind Justin Jefferson. He competed for snaps with K.J. Osborn last season, but Osborn is now with the New England Patriots. The Vikings didn’t take a receiver in the draft and added only Trent Sherfield Sr. in free agency. This is Sherfield’s fifth team in the past five years, and he has just 10 career starts over six seasons.

Addison is a mid-round pick who is a dart throw at wide receiver. If everything goes right, he can be a top-20 fantasy wide receiver this season. But a looming suspension and a downgrade for the Vikings at quarterback might leave him in a place where you’re never comfortable putting him in your fantasy starting lineup, even though he will probably have a few elite games.
