Douglas

At 5-foot-8, Douglas is one of the shorter wide receivers in the NFL. Rondale Moore, Wan’Dale Robinson, Tank Dell, Olamide Zaccheaus and Brandon Powell were the other wide receivers at that height or shorter who played at least 400 offensive snaps last season.

It’s fairly rare for a wide receiver of that size to play on the outside, but we have an example of that with the Houston Texans and Tank Dell last season. If Douglas plays only in the slot, it would be very difficult for him to become a fantasy starter. Given the Patriots have no clear top wide receiver, Douglas could have an every-down role and lead the team in targets.

Douglas is a good wide receiver and was a great find for the Patriots in the sixth round, but a lot is working against him to become a fantasy starter. There is a chance he is viewed as the top wide receiver on the team, in which case he would be a steal at his ADP.
